Economic Development Manager

The Economic Development Manager is responsible for coordinating County economic development issues and incentive programs with municipalities, businesses, chambers of commerce and other taxing entities in the County and State. Currently, the focus of the County's Economic Development Division has been in the areas of tax abatements and tax increment financing programs that are being utilized to attract and encourage growth and development in Tarrant County. The County is now in the process of revising its tax abatement policy guidelines and criteria. Additionally, the Economic Development Manager handles a variety of tax exemption programs including historical site tax exemption, indigent housing exemptions and the sale of foreclosed property for low-income housing. The Economic Development Manager also manages the administrative functions of the County's environmental programs and grants, including office recycling, household hazardous waste collection events, air quality and ozone action programs, use of alternative fueled vehicles and illegal dumping enforcement.
