2-1-1 Help in Texas
2-1-1 Texas, a program of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, is committed to helping Texas citizens connect with the services they need. Whether by phone or Internet, their goal is to present accurate, well-organized and easy-to-find information from over 60,000 state and local health and human services programs.


Area Agency on Aging
The Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County (AAATC) works with local organizations to develop and provide services that benefit older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers. The AAATC is part of United Way of Tarrant County and receives funding from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.


Community Action Partners
The City of Fort Worth’s Community Action Partners (CAP) serves as the Community Action Agency for Tarrant County and provides comprehensive services to economically disadvantaged individuals, families and the elderly.  Through CAP programs, residents learn to become financially independent, reducing and eliminating their reliance on social services.


Grand Prairie United Charities
Grand Prairie United Charities was established to meet the emergency needs of Grand Prairie residents who are experiencing financial setbacks. The organization believes that prompt intervention in the form of emergency assistance can ward off a potential crisis and prevent the family or individual from being without shelter, food or utilities.


Mansfield Cares
The Mansfield Cares Clinic provides free medical care on a part-time basis for the Mansfield in-need community for the last four years. The Linda Nix Family Caring Place, under the direction of Drs.Wendy Collini and Barry Cole, provides medical, dental and optical care on a full-time basis.


Mission Arlington
The ministries at Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex continue to evolve in response to the needs of our community. Check their site often to learn about the new ways we are reaching out.  The organization's current ministries for Children and YouthHealthcareSpiritual Help and Crisis Intervention work together to help every family and each person who comes its way.

Tarrant Cares is an online information service for individuals, families, caregivers and agencies. This one resource will provide you with countless solutions for issues your family may be facing. You can also create personal health records.


Tarrant County Meals on Wheels
Tarrant County Meals on Wheels provides home-delivered meals, professional case management and other needed items or services to elderly and disabled homebound residents in response to several community needs: malnutrition, food insecurity, social isolation, poor mental and physical health, etc.


Tarrant County United Way
The problems in Tarrant County can be overwhelming. So, Tarrant County United Way looked deeper, to the three underlying areas that affect everything else: education, income and health. And the organization partnered with local organizations to create programs that could help people in Tarrant County Learn Well, Earn Well and Live Well - independently.


Texas Department on Aging and Disability
The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) was created to administer long-term services and support for people who are aging as well as for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. DADS also licenses and regulates providers of these services and administers the State's Guardianship program.
