Tarrant County Public Health's Refugee Program works in cooperation with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) to provide incoming displaced persons from around the world with screenings for general health, nutrition and tuberculosis (TB).

General health screenings include testing for HIV, blood pressure checks, vision testing and parasite testing. The health screenings also help the clinic staff identify pre-existing conditions, medication usage and pregnancy. Blood tests, weights and heights are evaluated for nutrition. Skin testing, immigration medical evaluation and chest x-rays are done as needed to evaluate for tuberculosis.

Immunizations for immigration requirements are done in TB/Refugee for people that are newly arrived, or are older arrivals with certain eligibilities. Adults as well as children are serviced in the TB/Refugee program.
