Survey now taking place in Tarrant County
The Tarrant County Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Survey (BRFSS) supports health improvement programs.

It is a legitimate phone call from a representative of Tarrant County Public Health asking questions about your health and health practices. Your responses are anonymous, and will be compiled and used to plan and support health improvement programs, inform residents and elected officials about the health of their communities, and address health disparities.
The survey is being conducted now through July 2020.
Personal health behavior directly impacts our health and contributes to the leading causes of disease and death. Tarrant County monitors health-related risk behaviors (such as smoking/vaping, alcohol consumption, and pain medication use), chronic health conditions (including diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression), and preventive behaviors (exercise, nutrition, vaccinations, and cancer screenings) among adults using the BRFSS telephone survey.
The results are used to track goals, like Healthy People 2020 Objectives, to plan, support and evaluate health improvement programs, to inform our residents and elected officials on the health status of their communities, and to address health disparities.
This is the fifth BRFSS survey Tarrant County has conducted since 1998. During that time, more than 10,000 Tarrant County residents were selected and interviewed.
Issues and Answers is currently the interviewing contractor for the 2019/2020 Tarrant County BRFSS. Issues and Answers is a global market research firm selected by Tarrant County after a competitive bid process among several companies.
