Summary of Food Benefits Package

Participants will receive a combination of these foods depending on their category (pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum, child, infant).

WIC is a supplemental program.

For formula-fed infants, this means WIC does not provide all of the formula your baby will need during the month. Once your baby turns 6 months, benefits issued will include baby food and infant cereal, which will also decrease the amount of formula issued between 6-11 months. Amount of formula issued to infants depends on the formula baby is receiving from WIC.

Monthly food benefits are valid for one calendar month, the first day of the month through the last day of that same month. Full food package benefits will be issued to participants on or before the 15th day of the month; partial food package benefits will be issued to participants obtaining food benefits on or after the 16th day of the current month. Formula issuance will be prorated for the current month based on the number of days remaining in the month (for participants receiving benefits after the first day of the current month).

Individual participant food package benefits will be loaded on the WIC EBT card. After all WIC benefits for family members receiving WIC are loaded on the WIC EBT card, a shopping list is printed for client.

Infant benefits are issued from 0-11 months. Child benefits are issued from 12 months - 4 years. Pregnant women are issued benefits while pregnant. Postpartum women are issued benefits until they are 6 months postpartum. Exclusively breastfeeding women, who are not receiving formula for their infant, will receive benefits up to the infant's first birthday.

Please use the following summary as a guide only. The benefits packages below are full month packages; amounts may vary for partial month benefit issuance as stated above.
