Internship Opportunities

Tarrant County Emergency Management supports the growth of future emergency management and public health professionals by offering unpaid internship opportunities for college students pursuing related degrees. Future Professionals assist with a variety of office tasks, outreach efforts, planning projects, and preparedness initiatives while gaining practical experience in the field. Future professionals will be matched with a staff member to complete deliverables, with the Volunteer Coordinator serving as a site supervisor and host for the student. Placement depends on staff availability and current workload; internships are not guaranteed.

Students interested in being considered should email the Volunteer Coordinator with their resume, the number of hours required by their program, and any academic or reporting requirements from their school. We encourage early communication to help determine whether we can accommodate the request.
