TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS — Beginning March 24, 2026, jury summons will transition to a new postcard format. Each postcard will include a QR code that directs prospective jurors to log in to Juror Access, the updated online portal. This streamlined process is intended to simplify how citizens respond to their summons and manage their jury service.

In conjunction with the new juror summons postcard is the launch of a new and improved Jury Management Software system, designed to enhance the jury service experience for local citizens. After nearly 20 years of solid reliability from the previous system, this upgrade reflects the County’s commitment to modernization, accessibility, and efficient communication.

The new software places a stronger emphasis on digital communication. Potential jurors will now receive updates primarily via email and may choose to enroll in text message notifications for added convenience. Real-time status updates will also be available through the jury portal, ensuring jurors have timely information, typically the same day or the next business day.

Individuals who are unable to respond online will be able to report in person on the summons date and time indicated on the postcard.

While the format of the summons is changing, one important aspect remains the same: all potential jurors will continue to receive their official summons by mail to initiate the process. That communication will now arrive as a postcard instead of the traditional four-part mailer.

Tarrant County looks forward to offering this enhanced juror experience and appreciates the continued cooperation of residents serving their community through jury duty.
