Description
HB 1678 – 82nd Legislative Session (2011): “The Legislature finds that the powers of a county election commission extend no further than to the appointment, acceptance of resignation, or recommendation for termination of a county election administrator.” The commissioners court by written order may abolish the position of county elections administrator at any time.

Members are set stautorily and consist of the County Judge (chair), County Clerk, Tax Assessor-Collector, Dem Chair, Rep Chair with no maximum terms.
Meeting Time and Location
Meets at the call of the Chair and held in the Commissioners Courtroom located on the 5th Floor of the County Administration Building located at 100 Weatherford Street, Fort Worth, TX. Traditionally have more meetings than required because the Commission has met from time to time at the instance of prior Election Administrators to be updated on current issues regarding elections. But the actual jurisdiction of the commission is limited.
