Tarrant County Redistricting 2025
On April 2, 2025, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court approved an agreement with the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) to provide legal guidance and consulting on possible changes to the commissioners’ district boundaries for the 2026 Primary and General Elections.
Proposed redistricting map options, information about upcoming public hearings, how to submit your own maps, and how to provide comments is listed below.
On June 3, 2025, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court approved the Order to Establish New Precinct Boundaries depicted on map option 7.
On November 18, 2025, the United States Court for the Western District of Texas issued an order in the case League of United Latin American Citizens, et al. v. Abbott, No. EP-21-CV-00259-DCG-JES-JVB, (W.D. Tex. Nov. 18, 2025), temporarily blocking Texas from using the new congressional district map passed in 2025. Until this case is resolved, Tarrant County will continue to provide access to both the old and new maps for public viewing.
Tarrant County Elections Launches Voter Precinct Change Lookup Online Tool
Tarrant County Elections has launched Voter Precinct Change Look Up, a convenient online tool that allows registered voters to enter their address and view both their current voting districts and their updated voter precinct information effective January 1, 2026.
