Organizational Units
Information Technology (IT) provides Technology solutions, application support, and communication services to all elected officials and departments within Tarrant County government. The team is made up of a diverse, highly trained, and skilled workforce committed to advancing the County’s mission by providing high quality, innovative, and cost-effective technology solutions.

Administration
IT Administration consists of the performance and management of business operations within IT. IT Administration provides services supporting the larger Tarrant County goals while focusing on process development and maturity, fiscal responsibility, and information transparency.
Application Life Cycle Management (ALM)
The Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) unit is responsible for ensuring that applications performing essential functions for county business units are available and operating 24/7. We provide this service through dedicated Centers of Excellence (CoE) with the expertise and focus needed to support our diverse county business community. ALM is comprised of Central Services & Administration, Integrated Justice (IJIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Emerging Technologies, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, Project Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and ServiceNow.
Cloud, Infrastructure & Operations (CI&O)
The Cloud, Infrastructure & Operations (CI&O) unit is a group of highly skilled technology professionals focused on providing a world-class technical environment specifically designed to support Tarrant County business units. The CI&O unit fulfills this mission with technical infrastructure leadership provided by Audio/Visual Services, Database Management, Hardware & Endpoint Management, Network Services, Platform Engineering, and Project Management.
Governance
In collaboration with IT Leadership, Governance strives to implement robust policies that align with governing requirements and industry’s best practices and promote a culture of accountability and transparency within the organization. We are committed to supporting the organization's goals and objectives by ensuring that our technology governance framework is resilient, adaptable, and forward-thinking.
Information Security (InfoSec)
Information Security, also known as InfoSec, and sometimes referred to as computer security, is a practice of applying security to technology. InfoSec services include Information Security policies and best practices, Information Security audit and compliance, monitoring internal and external technology environments, risk mitigation and event response, and security awareness and training.
Organizational Change Management & Support Services (OCM)
Organizational Change Management (OCM) supports effective transitions within our County Departments with minimal disruptions by empowering employees to embrace change with the necessary knowledge and capabilities to ensure that changes are adopted smoothly and sustainable. OCM is dedicated to ensuring that people remain at the heart of every change we implement. Whether it’s a new system rollout, process improvement, or cultural shift, this team will help navigate change with clarity, consistency, and confidence.
