About Judge Brandt


Bill was born November 15, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. Bill graduated from Grapevine High School, Grapevine, Texas in 1973, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, President of the French Club and a football varsity letterman. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in History and General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in 1977, an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix in 2000, and a Juris Doctor degree from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2016. He served on active duty for 9 years and continued military service in the USAF Reserve for another 21 years. Bill and his wife of 40 years have lived in Southlake since 1988. They have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren. They attend Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller where Bill is a past congregation president and current Chairman of the School Board. He enjoys reading, his grandchildren, and improving his small ranch north of Decatur, Texas.

At Texas A&M, he was on the Dean's List, selected for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and invited to join the Texas A&M Property Journal. After graduation in 2016, he passed the Texas Bar Exam and was sworn into the Texas Bar by Texas Supreme Court Justice Don Willet in a private ceremony in Austin, Texas. He then formed Brandt Legal Services, PLLC, a law firm devoted to serving small business and individual clients.

As Justice of the Peace his commitment is to preserve community respect for the law by giving respect to every person who appears.
