On Saturday, November 15, 2025, Tarrant County Commissioner Simmons will collaborate with the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Arlington Charities, and volunteers from local community groups to provide food for hundreds of families in need ahead of the upcoming holiday season.

“No one should go hungry in our county. I recognize that families are working hard every day, yet still struggle to make ends meet," said Commissioner Simmons.

“This event is open to anyone who needs a little extra support with groceries. So, if the federal shutdown affected your SNAP benefits or your paycheck just isn’t stretching far enough, we want to help you feed your family,” said Simmons.
