Register to Vote
To register to vote, simply complete a voter registration application and return it to our office at least 30 days before the upcoming election date. Applications are available at the Tarrant County Elections Center, U.S. post offices, city halls, libraries and public assistance offices in Tarrant County or you may complete an application online (link below). After completing the application, you must then print, sign and mail or hand deliver to our office. If mailing an application, it must be postmarked by the 30th day before any election in which you desire to vote. If deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline moves forward to the next business day.
You may also register at the Department of Motor Vehicle when renewing, replacing, or changing your contact information.

ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTRATION
To be eligible to register to vote, applicants must be a U.S citizen, a resident of the county, at least 17 years and 10 months old on the date your voter registration application is submitted, an you are 18 years of age on Election Day, not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole), and not declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
An applicant may appoint, either orally or in writing, an agent to complete and sign a registration application, submit the application and act on the applicant’s behalf in the process of approving the application. An agent must be the applicant’s spouse, parent, or child and must be a qualified voter of the county or have submitted a registration application and be otherwise eligible.
Update your name and/or address online
Whether you’ve recently moved or changed your name, you can now update all your information on your voter registration record through the Texas.gov online portal.
If your voter registration record is on ‘suspense’, it means that registrar is not certain of your residential address. Current residence is different from that indicated on your voter registration record.. You can use the link above to update your address or information on your voter registration record.
**Note: You will need your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID) to log into the Texas.gov portal. You can find your VUID by visiting the Texas SOS My Voter Portal, in which you can enter your Name, County, Date of Birth and Zip code to display your voter registration information.
