On March 15, Public Invited To Test Voting System at Tarrant County Elections

Tarrant County Elections invites the public to participate in a test of the County’s voting system ahead of the May municipal elections.

This week, Tarrant County Elections is conducting public testing of the voting system, as required by law. As was done last September for the November election, the Elections office invites the public to participate in the validation process of the voting equipment on Wednesday, March 15.

Both machine and hand-marked ballots will be available. These ballots will have the same races and propositions as will appear on the May 2023 ballot, but these ballots will ONLY be used to validate the results produced by the machines.  None of the votes cast on Wednesday will have any effect on the election.

“When we finish accepting ballots, we’ll tally and compare the results with the voting system,” said Troy Havard, Tarrant County Assistant Elections Administrator.

Public participation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Tarrant County Elections, 2700 Premier St., Fort Worth, Tx. 76111
