HOME Investment Partnership Program
The HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) program provides formula grants to states and localities that communities use -- often in partnership with local nonprofit groups, Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO's) and developers -- to fund a wide range of activities that build, buy and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership. Tarrant County receives annual HOME funds to create and maintain affordable housing outside of Fort Worth, Arlington and Grand Prairie. Each of those cities administers and receives their own HOME funds.
HOME funds are also used to help potential homebuyers with downpayment and closing costs on a new home. Please visit Housing Channel's website for more information.
