Emergency Solutions Grant Program

The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program provides homeless persons with basic shelter and essential supportive services. Tarrant County assists with the operational costs of the homeless shelter facilities and provides short-term homeless prevention assistance to income-qualified persons at imminent risk of losing their own housing due to eviction. Tarrant County assists shelters County-wide and assists eligible renters to prevent homelessness within Tarrant County, outside of Arlington, Fort Worth and Grand Prairie.

If you live outside of Fort Worth, Arlington or Grand Prairie, have low income, have a notice to vacate or eviction letter and need rental assistance, please apply for assistance using the Prevention Screening Form.
