Summary: Donor gave portrait of Jason B. Little, Civil War veteran buried in Hawkins Cemetery. Donated by April Herrington, descendant of Jason B. Little. Portrait was believed to have been originally owned by Fanny Thalman, daughter of Jason B. Little. It was then passed down to June Avril Batts (Hawkins), then to her son David Batts, who wished his daughter April Herrington to donate the image to the Tarrant County Archives. Members of the Batts Family lived in Fort Worth and Tarrant County. Land for the Little Elementary School was donated by the Little Family and many family members are buried at Hawkins Cemetery. A daughter of the Hawkins family married Jason B. Little. Little Road is also believed to be named after this family.
