Bob Bullock Collection
HISTORICAL NOTE
In 1986, State Comptroller of Public Accounts Bob Bullock offered the Tarrant County Archives a large set of Tarrant County’s retired bonds in recognition of the state’s 150th birthday. The bonds pertain to county projects concerning road and bridge construction, schools, district boundary changes, parks, airports, sanitation, and utility services. There are also bonds related to the construction of buildings, such as the Tarrant County courthouse and Fort Worth Livestock Exhibit Buildings. Bob Bullock’s offer was accepted by then County Judge Mike Moncrief and Tarrant County Historical Commission Chair Duane Gage.
