Summary: Julia Kathryn Garrett (1897-1988) was a well-known Fort Worth teacher and author. Donor gave a collection of post cards that had been given her by friend and fellow local historian, and botanist, Mary Sabine Daggett Lake (1880-1955). Most of the post cards are addressed to Lake at 1415 Grand Avenue Fort Worth and range in date from 1917 through 1953. Mary Daggett Lake was an important leader of both the Fort Worth Garden Center and Fort Worth Garden Club, and some of the post cards are addressed to her offices there.

  • Postcards: 108 addressed to Mary Daggett Lake also under the names Mrs. Will Lake, Mrs. William F. Lake, Mrs. Will F. Lake, and Mary D. Lake  - dominated by images of parks and gardens across the continental United States
  • Postcards: 76 not addressed dominated by flower themes
