Minter's Chapel Cemetery Association

HISTORICAL NOTE

Minter's Chapel Cemetery is located on the property of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on the west side of old Minter's Chapel Road, north of Glade Road. It is one of Tarrant County's earliest cemeteries and was awarded a Texas historical marker in 1979.  Green W. Minter established the Minter's Chapel Methodist Church and cemetery around 1854. When the airport acquired the land in 1967, the cemetery remained on the property and the church was relocated.

SCOPE AND CONTENTS

Minter's Chapel Cemetery Association donated an index of people buried in the cemetery. The index includes grave locations, names, birth and death dates, and some biographical information when available. The survey project was completed in 1996 with the help of association members and supporters.
