Biographical Note

The descendants of John Morey Roe (1804-1872) held their first gathering at the home of his son, Addison John "A. J." Roe (1834-1909) in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday, September 23, 1907. All of the living descendants were in attendance, in addition to three people who had married into the family. The event was documented and photographed by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The Victorian Tower style house, located at 301 West Leuda Street (alternatively listed at 800 St. Louis Avenue) has since been demolished, and the Leuda-May Historic Apartments now occupy that location.

Scope and Contents

The Eliza Polk Collection contains an oversize photograph and e-book documenting the Roe Reunion.
