Summary: Donor's ancestor, Christian Bohrman was a member of Company F, 2nd Dragoons, in June 1849, when that company established the fort that became Fort Worth. He had emigrated from Dresden, Germany, and enlisted in New York. He mustered out of the army at Fort Graham, August 1853. While at Fort Worth he married Martha Witcher. Descendants now spell their name Borman or Bowman.
