Provenance

 

Due to the date of donation and notes on accession paperwork, it is believed that the materials were compiled and donated from a variety of sources after her death. There is one document from 1995 with the signature of Eddie Rogers with the accessioning paperwork for a photograph of Birdville High School, but there is no clear connection written in the paperwork about Rogers and Thelma Ray. In addition, there are two photographs of Birdville Cemetery that paperwork attributes to the Northeast Observer. Additional documents arrived in 2009. It is possible that the other items came to the archives after being stored at an old school for years before a more permanent location for the archives came into existence in the mid-1990s.
