Tarrant County Historical Society Collection

Summary: The Tarrant County Historical Society was established in 1948, replacing the Fort Worth Historical Society which ran from 1925-1940. Its goal is to preserve and generate interest in local history. It has dedicated itself to this mission by being involved in several preservation projects over the last several decades. The following items were donated to the Archives by the donor.

  • Fort Worth and Tarrant County: An Historical Guide, edited and revised by Carol Roark, a project of the Tarrant County Historical Society Inc., and Fort Worth: Texas Christian University Press, 2003.
  • Videocassette: Interview with Reverand Albert Chew, Pastor, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, undated.
