A major responsibility of the Tarrant County Fire Marshal’s Office is fire prevention. Our goal is to reduce the number of deaths, injuries and amount of property loss from fire -- thus enhancing the public health, safety and welfare for all the citizens in Tarrant County.
One method we utilize to reduce the number of fires is by conducting inspections using the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and other state and federal regulations. Another method used is to educate our citizens on fire safety. Our office provides fire prevention training to fire departments, businesses, schools, daycares, county government employees and other organizations.
